Establishing the Need

Dear NYC#44, In your case, less is not more. Less is lewd.  It’s not that men cannot wear spandex. You and all other men are welcome to it. However, I feel strongly that it should be worn during exercise or at the beach, not while walking around NYC.  Let’s say you’re on your way to yoga. While walking there, I would wear these OVER the spandex shorts so people aren’t offended by the lack of material covering your lower half. Also, I recommend you no longer tie up the bottom of your shirt. This look is too feminine for men and you’re eating up valuable fabric that would be covering up what your spandex is putting on display. By all means, continue to wear those shorts. Just do so with the assumption that the general public doesn’t want to see them or whatever is underneath them and cover everything up.  Cheers, ETN
